Please help us welcome Patrick Caporale as DMTF’s Vice President of Marketing. In this role, Patrick is responsible for overseeing the Marketing Task Force, which directs the overall industry marketing and communications efforts of the organization.
“I have been an active member of the DMTF for several years, participating in activities throughout the organization,” said Caporale. “I’m looking forward to directly working with the Marketing Task Force as DMTF continues to create open manageability standards designed to improve the interoperable management of information technologies.”
Employed by DMTF Board member company Lenovo, Patrick is a Senior Engineering Staff Member responsible for I/O Architecture within the Data Center Group. Patrick is currently an I/O architect for Lenovo's x86 platforms, leading a team of engineers to deliver the latest generation of data center products. He has over 20 years of experience within the server, storage, and networking product groups at IBM and Lenovo. In addition to his role as DMTF’s vice president of marketing, he is also the co-chair of the Platform Management Components Intercommunication (PMCI) Work Group, where he has been the editor and contributor to many specifications.
Patrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.
