DMTF has released the latest version of the Cloud Infrastructure Management Interface (CIMI) standard, version 2.0. In addition, an up-to-date version of the CIMI Primer, which reviews common scenarios of consumer-provider interactions in CIMI, is also available for download.
CIMI 1.1, which has been adopted and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) as ISO/IEC 19831:2015, describes the model and protocol for management interactions between a cloud IaaS Provider and the Consumers of an IaaS service. The use of CIMI helps facilitate portability between cloud implementations that support the standard.
