The DMTF recently published the latest release of the Common Information Model (CIM) Schema, version 2.49. This widely-used standard provides a common definition of management information for systems, networks, applications and services.
DMTF continues to regularly update the CIM schema multiple times each year, helping ensure the standard remains up-to-date to address the latest industry needs. Working closely with the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), a DMTF Alliance Partner, many changes in CIM 2.49 focus on the storage model classes.
