  • Huawei Joins DMTF Board of Directors

PORTLAND, Ore. – April 4 , 2011- Distributed Management Task Force, Inc. (DMTF), the organization bringing the IT industry together to collaborate on systems management standards development, validation, promotion and adoption, today announced that Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions around the world, has been elected to the DMTF Board of Directors. The addition of the internationally-based company solidifies DMTF’s expanding global presence in the IT industry. Huawei joins AMD, Broadcom, CA Technologies, Cisco, Citrix Systems Inc., EMC, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle and VMware to continue DMTF’s momentum in driving IT management standards and initiatives.

DMTF standards and technologies address IT industry requirements and enable interoperable management across a diverse set of platforms. DMTF member companies collaborate to create standards to ensure that IT industry investments remain viable for years to come by creating cost-effective solutions. Recently, DMTF has established momentum in the cloud computing and virtualization space through its Cloud Management Working Group, which focuses on the development of cloud interoperability standards. In addition, DMTF has continued to increase its global presence through the addition of members who represent international leaders in the IT industry.
