Hitachi, Telecom Italia Elected to DMTF Board of Directors

  • Hitachi, Telecom Italia Elected to DMTF Board of Directors

PORTLAND, Ore. – April 4, 2013 –Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), the organization bringing the IT industry together to collaborate on systems management standards development, validation, promotion and adoption, today announced that representatives from Hitachi, a leader in global electronics and Telecom Italia, a leading telecommunications company, have been elected to the DMTF Board of Directors. The addition of both globally recognized companies further solidifies DMTF’s expanding international reach in the IT industry.

DMTF has continued to increase its global presence through the additions of international subcommittees and chapters, including the formation of the DMTF Japanese Regional Subcommitteeand the DMTF China Chapter. The addition of members who represent international leadership in the IT industry helps to further expand DMTF’s presence in multiple regions around the world. Hitachi and Telecom Italia will contribute to promoting DMTF’s mission of enabling interoperable, industry-wide IT management across a diverse set of platforms.

As an industry-leading telecommunications company, Telecom Italia will bring a unique perspective to DMTF’s standards development. Enrico Ronco, Senior Project Manager at Telecom Italia will represent Telecom Italia on the Board. Both Hitachi and Telecom Italia are expected to provide valuable insight to DMTF’s organizational leadership.
