Welcome to the DMTF Historical documents page. This area of the DMTF website provides access to specifications and other documents that have reached a level of maturity where they are no longer actively being updated by the DMTF. The DMTF provides this resource so deliverables are available for those who may yet be implementing or referencing them.
These specifications are still relevant to the industry, but new versions should not be expected from the DMTF:
- DMI - Due to the advancement of DMTF technologies, such as CIM, DMTF defined an end of life process for its Desktop Management Interface (DMI), which concluded March 31, 2005.
- ASF - The Alert Standard Format specification defines remote control and alerting interfaces for OS-absent environments.
