Continuing its commitment to industry outreach and education, DMTF recently presented at the Open Compute Project (OCP) Engineering Workshops in Dallas, Texas. The OCP Engineering Workshops are in-person technical sessions corresponding to the OCP’s nine projects. The workshops are hosted to encourage, empower and inspire the OCP community to communicate, collaborate and contribute to the mission and vision of the OCP Foundation.
During the Workshops, DMTF representative Jeff Autor presented a review of the Redfish® OCP Interoperability Profile. The goal of Redfish is to publish a standard API to meet customer demands for simple and secure management in modern Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) environments, and developing an interoperable description of the Redfish components needed to represent an OCP server is important to the industry.
In addition, DMTF standards such as the Network Controller-Sideband Interface (NC-SI), Management Component Transport Protocol (MCTP), Platform Level Data Model (PLDM) and Redfish were mentioned in other vendor presentations during the event.
